The Sidwell group known today is a product of SIDWELL NIGERIA LIMITED, incorporated in October of 1981 principally as a merchantile company with all authorised share capital of N5, 000, 000 == that has since been increased.
As a merchantile company, SIDWELL NIGERIA LIMITED grew to become the largest importer of American Raw Tobacco leaf to Africa for many years and was the sole representative of the famous Tobacco Supply company Inc. of Springfield Tennesse.
SIDWELL NiG LTD also traded in Tobacco with Hail and Cotton as well as Campbell Tobacco of Tennesse and Kentuckey respectively.
SIDWELL NIG LTD also became a major importer of Cod dried fish from Iceland and Norway to Nigeria.
The success achieved in these sectors midwifed the birth of other members of the group hence, Clientvale Computers 1983, E'bichingolf Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals 1985, Sidwell Communications (SIDCOM) 1988, Sidwell Capital management Co., Ltd. since 1989, Nomnso and Deraa Associates Ltd and Logistique Air Services and Tours (LASATAIR) in 2003. Also in the group is Sidwell City Riders since 1993.
The group is equipped with visionary, talented and highly motivated team of staff with a highly profesional board.
The group has presence in major cities of Nigeria as well as Republic of Benin, Togo and Ghana. The group through Sidwell Communications also founded a publishing and publication arm of her business in 1989. This gave birth to the most vibrant sports publication in the entire continent of Africa then with circulation in major African countries including London and New York.
